God!
Resonance of Fate , developed for PS2 by Tri-Ace and published by SEGA on 360 and PS3 in early 2010, is a JRPG dall'estitica steampunk / western, set in a near future where the priests that law, the environment has been devastated unconsciousness human bullets and beating the drum of the right: ' Expo Milano 2015. In fact, probably to make the product more appealing to an international audience, Po marshes have been replaced by a gigantic tower, Basel, a gargantuan body ticking over which live in symbiosis with most of what remains of Milan hinterland, in game called "mankind" .
A desperate context, an artificial monster from which depend the lives of millions of human beings, a hopeless nightmare where the flowers are more Rare gold. goodies like "Maybe the world is already 'finished' or " We were all in agreement when the regulations were initiated for the children of thought ... " stirs up the lid of a pot overflowing with stories to tell. Yet, Tri-Ace has given us something unusual: a video game where the game is 90% of the time.
A JRPG where the fighting is history. In the background we have an epic conflict between nature, religion and science, but the narrator Prince is your magazine. Unlike JRPG Final Fantasy XIII as Suikoden 5 or , particularly where early lead in the slow player horror, despair and scabies in the balls, in RoF you have no way of distress for the plot. This is because the combat system assembled by Tri-Ace, 'so exhilarating as an additive: based on firearms, grenades, acrobatics and lots of bullshit. RoF is not a video game that is taken seriously.
Leanne : "Do you want me on offense or defense?" Vashyron : "Both plays Leanne ways ... Good to know " Zephyr : " Hey, save it, why, dont'cha? "
Exchanges like this are on the agenda: the three miracles players, respectively, the Beautiful, the Good and the Demon, spend half the game in busy mercenary business, while in diluitissimi interludes events run their meeting, when not chasing their own. In the course of 17 chapters simply will witness a slice of life, nothing more. RoF is Maison Ikkoku of steampunk JRPG: instead of the recession we fight for survival instead of neighbors House meddling cardinals have otherwise sane, instead of the misunderstandings we have many, many bullets.
Other than saving the world is already so if we save ourselves a shootout at a time. And several players bring back the DVD because of this: RoF is first of all grab the balls of our present with their teeth and do not give up, whatever happens. The defeat is just around the corner, the Action Hero, or frontal assaults on the run or in the air, are limited by Hero Gauge. Triangulating properly Resonance Points can be earned and then use the entire party in a Tri-Attack, a triangle that roam almost always must be decisive for a possibility of victory.
There are other niceties, including an adequate system of crafting and customization of weapons, but the gist is this: "Make Errors and Die ", to paraphrase the protagonist of another game where the plot was just a pretext for the adrenaline.
RoF is not an easy game: Although the mechanics of the combat system are fully available from the start of the game, having mastered only gives the player the chance to win, never certainty in a market like the current one is hardly surprising that sales have been clouded by Rof from the contemporary, but above all automatic, Final Fantasy XIII.
