MOS Architects I have realized this project for the city of Ordos, Mongolia: The goal is the creation of 100 new housing for students of architecture.
Hortus magazine has devoted an article about it and writes:
"Mos Architects The project proposal is based on the recovery of some aspects of traditional Mongolian population, from the choice of a type of court. The body is made up of a set of distinct environments volumetrically and interconnected at the corners to avoid hallways and circulation spaces. The different rooms for climatic reasons are covered with solar chimneys, which act as chimneys, retaining the passive cooling in summer and warm in winter person, for the same reason, the doors and windows are placed on a plane back from the exterior walls. The operation, conceptually and in practice, was to not try to create a building attached to the place, but to transform the landscape through architecture.
The accommodation is on two floors. A ground floor spaces of representation: living room, dining room, games room, gymnasium, swimming pool, kitchen, wine cellar and other rooms. Upstairs the bedrooms, bathrooms and a library.
The structure is reinforced concrete and is covered outside with gray bricks produced locally. "
